1. What is a fic fest?

A fic fest is an event where anyone can submit prompts! After the prompting period, artists and writers can claim a prompt.

2. Do I need to participate to submit a prompt?

No! Anyone can submit up to 5 prompts! You do not need to write or draw to submit.

3. How do I submit a prompt?

4. How do I claim a prompt?

Most questions concerning claiming, submitting, and prompting can be answered on AO3's on FAQ page here. If you have additional questions please reach out and I can assist you.

5. Can I claim a prompt that's already been claimed?

Yes! One prompt can be claimed up to three times. Please refrain from selecting a prompt if there are already three claimers.

6. Can I claim my own prompt?

Yes! You are welcome to claim your own prompt, but I encourage you to branch out and look at other prompts before selecting your own.

7. Are NSFW works allowed?

Yes! This is a NSFW and SFW fic fest. Just be mindful and properly tag your prompts and submissions.

8. Is there a minimum word cout?

For authors, there is a minimum word count of 1k words.

9. How do I submit my work as an artist?

To upload your art on AO3 refer to the AO3 FAQ here on posting. The section regarding embedding and fanart will give you a detailed run-through. Please reach out if you have any additional questions.

10. Do I need an AO3 account to sign up?

Yes. But don't worry if you don't have an account yet! There's plenty of time to sign up before the prompting period ends.
